More good news for CCleaner fans who are on Mac not Windows, comes from developer Piriform. After announcing that CCleaner for Mac, the Apple version of the world's most popular optimization and cleaning tool has graduated out of Beta and is available for download as a stable version, Piriform announced today, the 21st of February, that CCleaner for Mac is now available for download via the Mac App Store.

So if you are on Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, 10.6 Snow Leopard, or 10.7 Lion, you can now download and update CCleaner for Mac directly from the Mac App Store here – the application is available for free, just like its Windows counterpart. On top of the aforementioned editions of Mac OS X, CCleaner for Mac supports all current versions of Opera, Safari, Firefox and Chrome.

If you don’t want to get CCleaner for Mac from the Mac App Store, you can always get it directly from the developer here. Again, I remind you that the software is available for free.

CCleaner is very popular and quite well known application. Still, there may be some users out there who are not familiar with the sort of functionality this application has to offer. If you fall in this category, let me very quickly put things in perspective for you: CCleaner is short for “crap cleaner”. This application will remove all the useless bits and pieces that are needlessly taking up space on your machine. On top of that it can wipe clean all free disk space.

There is a very good reason why CCleaner is used by millions of people all over the world, and that reason is that CCleaner is an efficient, user friendly, and properly good at doing its job. It will help you reclaim disk space and make your computer faster, and it will help you protect your privacy. I wholeheartedly invite you to get CCleaner, either the Windows or the Mac version.
