CCleaner 3.28, the update that was recently released to the public, is the last version 3 release. Piriform said it has some exciting new releases in the works, CCleaner 4.0 being the first among them.

Piriform recently updated its CCleaner application to version 3.28 – you can grab it right here on FindMySoft. Besides improved Windows 8 compatibility and improved memory usage on Windows 7, there’s not much to get excited about this release. See for yourself by taking a look at the CCleaner 3.28 release notes below.

CCleaner 3.28 Release Notes (as provided by Piriform)
  • Improved Windows 8 compatibility.

CCleaner 3.28 deserves mentioning because it is the last version 3 release. Piriform announced that there will no longer be any version 3 released – CCleaner will move on to version 4 and, as Pirifom put it, there’s good reason to be excited about this new version. The developer explained that version 4.0 is part of “some exciting releases we have coming up over the next few months.”

Version 4.0 is shaping up nicely, and we think you’re going to be as excited as we are about the new features,” said Piriform on its official blog. “We're not releasing full details just yet, but along with some freshened up graphics, you can expect to see new system monitoring features, as well as a handy file finder tool.”
