On Thursday, the 25th of July, Piriform announced that it released a CCleaner update: version 4.04. The interesting thing about CCleaner 4.04 is that it adds support for Windows 8.1 Preview, Internet Explorer 11, Opera 15, Comodo IceDragon (a secure Firefox-based web browser), Sony Vegas Pro 12.0, Bing Search, Bing Finance, Bing Maps, Bing News, Bing Sports and Bing Travel.

On top of that, the update improves some existing functions (Chrome cleaning, detection of Chromium-based browsers, detection and cleaning of portable browsers, monitoring notifications) ads support for Hindi, makes minor improvements to the interface, and fixes various bugs.
