Apple was glad to announce that Burberry will use the new iPhone 5S on September 16th, before, during and after a Burberry runway show in London.

The 8 megapixel iSight camera the iPhone 5S has to offer will be put to good use by British Luxury Brand Burberry during a runway show that will take place in London on Monday, September 16. Burberry will use the new iPhone 5s to shoot photos as well as videos during the event; the aim is to beautiful capture the models, the products, and the interesting backstage moments that may arise. The images will be shared via Burberry’s official website and across its social media channels.

The 8MP iSight camera on the iPHone 5s comes with a larger f/2.2 aperture and a larger sensor with 1.5μ pixels for better sensitivity and low-light performance. Furthermore, the camera features a new True Tone flash that adjusts color and intensity so photos taken with a flash appear more natural. And last but not least, the camera can record videos (1080p HD videos at 30 FPS) and slo-mo videos.

“iPhone 5s makes it even easier to take great photos with the world’s most popular camera,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of iPhone & iOS Product Marketing. “We’re thrilled to see the amazing photos and HD video Burberry has captured with the incredible all-new iSight camera.”

“This collaboration celebrates our relationship and shared foundation in design and craftsmanship. We have a mutual passion for creating beautiful products and unlocking emotive experiences through technology, which has made it intensely exciting to explore the capabilities of iPhone 5s,” said Christopher Bailey, Burberry Chief Creative Officer. “We’re inspired by what this could mean for the future as we continue to explore the merging of physical and digital experiences.”
