Who cares that it’s not Black Friday yet. EA certainly doesn’t, because Black Friday has come early to Origin, its online gaming and digital distribution platform.

Origin's Black Friday Sale offers big discounts of up to 75% on lots of games. But the top 10 games that stand out from the crowd are…

10. Far Cry 4

This open world game may be 2 years old, but it’s the latest installment in the main Far Cry series. I am not counting the spin-offs here, like Far Cry Primal or Far Cry: Blood Dragon (which is free on UBI 30 this November).

Getting back to the topic at hand, the Standard Edition of Far Cry 4 is discounted by 50% on Origin. The Gold Edition isn’t discounted at all, unfortunately.
  • Far Cry 4 Standard Edition – $14.99 instead of $29.99.
  • Far Cry 4 Gold Edition – $59.99. No discount.
The prices are the same in Euros (€).

9. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

A couple of weeks ago, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege went free to play for the weekend. On top of that, the game was offered for half off on Steam and the Ubisoft Store. You liked the game, but you didn’t buy it then. Well, here’s another chance to get it for 50% off.
  • Rainbow Six Siege Standard Edition – $24.99 instead of $49.99.
  • Rainbow Six Siege Gold Edition – $39.99 instead of $79.99.
The game is 50% off in Europe too. The Standard Edition is €19.99 instead of €39.99. The Gold Edition is €34.99 instead of €69.99.

8. Unravel

Developed by Coldwood Interactive, an independent game studio based in Sweden, Unravel presents a heartfelt story about trying to mend a broken bond and focuses on overcoming obstacles, small and big ones alike. The game’s adorable protagonist is Yarny, who is made from a single thread of yarn, yarn that slowly unravels as he moves.

Back in February, when Unravel hit the market, it had a price tag of $19.99. During Origin’s Black Friday Sale, the game is half its original price
  • Unravel – $9.99 instead of $19.99.
The same goes for Europe. Unravel is 50% off, priced a €9.99 instead of €19.99.

Origin lets you gift games now

Don’t want to get anything for yourself during Origin’s Black Friday Sale? Perhaps you want to get something for a friend or family member. Until recently, you couldn't do that. Now you can!

The option to gift games on Origin was introduced right before the Black Friday Sale. To gift a game, you need only click the arrow and select 'Purchase as a gift'.

On the downside, the option to gift games only works with EA titles. For now at least.

Origin’s Black Friday Sale ends on November 29, 2016 at 10AM PST.
