BitTorrent Sync Moves to Beta, Intros Mobile File Syncing

BitTorrent Sync, the syncing tool that was introduced in January and rolled out as public Alpha this April, has now moved on to Beta status.

BitTorrent, the company behind the BitTorrent protocol and the BitTorrent and uTorrent applications, announced on Wednesday, July 17th, that is new syncing tool BitTorrent Sync reached an important milestone in its development process: BitTorrent Sync Beta has been rolled out the public. And the interesting thing is that it comes with two highly requested features: mobile file syncing and syncArchive.

BitTorrent Sync Beta – Mobile File Syncing
You can now enjoy this application’s syncing capabilities on your mobile device – and more to the point, you can use BitTorrent Sync on your Android-powered mobile. Go get the app for free from Google’s Play Store and you’ll be able to sync up work folders to your tablet, backup mobile photos, and share files directly to friends and collaborators, all from your Android smartphone.

iOS users have not been forgotten. The BitTorrent Team said it is working on a version for iPhones as well. More news about this will be released in the future.

BitTorrent Sync Beta – SyncArchive
The newly released Beta version comes with basic versioning capability: access to archives of previous versions of your synced files.
