BitTorrent, the software company behind the BitTorrent peer-to-peer file sharing protocol as well as the BitTorrent and uTorrent applications, recently introduced a new app called BitTorrent Shoot.
It uses BitTorrent Sync technology to help you batch share photos. It’s especially useful if you have an iPhone and you want to effortlessly send multiple photos to a friend who has an Android.
BitTorrent Shoot – Main Features
That’s something that frequently happens when I socialize with my colleague Frederick Barton; we usually end up sharing photos took with our smartphones. But he has an iPhone and I have an Android. So to transfer the photos, we have to use a Bluetooth connection, send them via email, or use a cloud service. Thanks to BitTorrent Shoot, we won’t have to use any of these methods from now on. All I’ll have to do is snap a QR code and I’ll have the photos in no time at all.
Additional information about BitTorrent Shoot is available on its official webpage.
In related news, you may want to know that Facebook's Creative Labs rolled out Moments, an iOS and Android app that can be used to share photos.
