Microsoft is showing Pinterest some love by adding a 'Pin to Pinterest' option for Bing image search. You can now pin images directly from Bing to your Pinterest boards.

Good news for Pinterest users who turn to Microsoft’s Bing search engine to find all sorts of cool images on the web. The team behind the Bing search engine recently announced that a “Pin to Pinterest” feature has been added to Bing image search. So, if you come across an interesting image when using Bing, you can use the new feature to pin that image the Pinterest content sharing service. With just one click you can pin the image to your board.

“Now, you can pin image results directly from Bing to your favorite Pinterest boards. Whether you’re gathering inspiration for a home decorating project, a Memorial Day BBQ or a summer vacation, it’s never been easier to find more pictures and keep track of the ones you love most. See something that catches your eye? Just one click and it’s saved to your Pinterest board,” explained Jeff Meisner, editor for the Official Microsoft Blog.

Chen Fang, Program Manager on the Bing Search team, explained that the “Pin to Pinterest” feature was developed with ease of use in mind: you do not have to install another bookmarklet in your browser, Bing automatically links and gives proper attribution to the original, high-resolution source, and you can easily take advantage of the nice image search tools Bing has to offer, tools like filtering by size, color, layout, and more.

Get started with Bing Image Search by going to bing.com/images.
