BitDefender, Romanian company that provides innovative security software solutions, announced the Beta release of two products: BitDefender Total Security 2012, BitDefender’s flagship product that offers the highest level of security, and BitDefender Mobile Security, a security solution for Android-powered mobile devices.

Putting the spotlight on BitDefender Total Security 2012 Beta, this latest version of BitDefender’s flagship product is meant to be even easier to use, even more efficient, and even more secure than BitDefender Total Security 2011. One of the most notable changes is the introduction of the Auto-pilot mode which, when turned on, doesn’t display alerts and makes decisions automatically.

Other changes in BitDefender Total Security 2012 Beta include the following:
- Added data synchronization between computers.
- Improved secure online backup.
- Scan Dispatcher that launches scans when the computer is not used.

If you would like to give BitDefender Total Security 2012 Beta a try, you can get it straight from BitDefender here. BitDefender said that it will give registered users a variety of prizes for testing the Beta.

Moving on, BitDefender also made public a Beta version of BitDefender Mobile Security, a security software solution that uses cloud-scanning technology to protect Android devices from security threats. It is meant to offer a properly good level of protection without putting strain on the battery and without consuming system resources.

“The Android system is wonderfully open to developers and we've certainly reaped the benefits when we built Mobile Security. However, the same openness spells easy pickings for malicious hackers, and Trojan malware has been detected even in the Android Market. These have been removed since, but the option to install un-signed applications is still there and it creates security issues which Mobile Security is built to address” declared Bogdan Dumitru, BitDefender CTO.
