Best of Bing China: Windows 7 Theme that Celebrates China's Beauty
Alongside the 5th iteration in the Best of Bing series, mainly Best of Bing 5, Redmond-based software giant Microsoft recently rolled out Best of Bing China, a theme pack for its Windows 7 operating system that presents a collection of 16 top quality images. These images were take from the Chinese Bing site, explained Jennifer Shepherd, site manager for the Windows Personalization Gallery. The images focus on the beauty of China.
“Enjoy the natural beauty and unique cityscapes of the world's most populous country in this Windows 7 theme,” says the theme’s official and brief description.
So if you are from China, or if you are a big fan of China, you can get the Best of Bing theme pack and enjoy the country’s beauty on your desktop. The theme pack, just like the other 100 or so windows 7 themes hosted on the Windows 7 Personalization Gallery , is offered free of charge to Windows 7 users. Alongside the more than 100 themes, the Gallery is home to about 80 desktop wallpapers, various desktop gadgets and multiple SideShow gadgets.
This is not the first time that Microsoft rolled out a localized Best of Bing theme pack. Back in the summer of 2010 Microsoft rolled out Best of Bing Japan. The theme pack is a collection of 18 images that depict the beauty of Japan. The release of Best of Bing Japan coincided with the launch of Bing Japan. Actually, the them pack was initially called Bing’s Best Japan; initially Microsoft rolled out Bing’s Best 1, 2, and 3, then with the 4th release changed the name to Best of Bing. So Bing’s Best Japan became Best of Bing Japan.
Moving on, in the autumn of 2010, Microsoft rolled out Best of Bing Australia. This theme pack showcase the beauty of Australia as well. It is a collection of 16 top quality images that showcase some aspect of Australia.
