What is Android Pay?

Android Pay is Google’s response to Apple Pay and Samsung Pay. It is the mobile payment service that replaces Google Wallet for in-store transactions, meaning that you can use it to pay for purchases by using your Android smartphone.

Android Pay works with all NFC-enabled devices powered by Android 4.4 KitKat or newer, works on any mobile carrier, and is accepted at millions of tap and pay ready location across the US.

Using Android Pay is a relatively straightforward 3-step process:
  • Step 1 – get the Android Pay app from Google Play. Certain devices come with Android Pay preloaded; if you have such a device, you won’t need to get the app from the Google Play store.
  • Step 2 – add the credit or debit card you want to use to purchase items. Android Pay works with most major credit and debit cards from top US networks and banks, including American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa.
  • Step 3 – unlock your phone and tap to pay for purchases with Android Pay.

Spectre will be released earlier in the UK

The new James Bond thriller will be released on November 6 in the US, and a bit sooner in the UK – on October 26, at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

The Federation Against Copyright Theft (FACT), the anti-piracy group that looks after Hollywood’s interests in the UK, has issued an anti-piracy statement, saying that it will work closely with cinema operators and movie distributors to deter any would-be pirates.

Action, cars, and hot women

The 007 franchise is known for three things: lots of exciting action, expensive cars, and hot women. The two actresses to delight us in Spectre are Monica Beluccia and Léa Seydoux.
