Rovio Entertainment’s newest game Bad Piggies has been released and is available for download for iOS, Android, PC, and Mac.

Earlier this month Rovio Entertainment, the developer behind the immensely popular Angry Birds game, announced that it is working on a new and exciting game called Bad Piggies and said it would roll it out to the masses on the 27th of September. Today is the 27th of September and, as promised, Rovio released the Bad Piggies game to the public.

At the time of writing this the new Bad Piggies game is available for download for Android in the Play Store, for iOS in the App Store, and for Mac in the Mac App Store. Rovio explained that a PC version will be rolled out later today and that a Windows Phone and Windows 8 version will be released in the near future. So if you want to see what the new game is all about, go ahead and download it.
  • Android users, you can get Bad Piggies and Bad Piggies HD for free from the Play Store.
  • iOS users, you can get Bad Piggies from the App Store for the low price of 99 cents.
  • OS X users, you can get Bad Pigges from the Mac App Store for the price of $4.99.

Download links for all Bad Piggies versions, including the PC one that will become available later today and the Windows Phone and Windows 8 versions that will be released in the near future, are available on the official BadPiggies.com webpage.

Without giving too much away, here are a few words about the Bad Piggies gameplay: the goal is to use several components to come up with a hunk of junk contraption that will get the pigs from point A to point B. What are the pigs after? The eggs of course! It’s up to you to help them get the eggs.

“We’ve never done anything like this,” said Petri Järvilehto, EVP of Games. “Where Angry Birds was all about destruction, Bad Piggies is all about the joy of construction. It’s not just about getting three stars -- in this game, failing is almost as much fun as succeeding!”
