Getting Avira Secure Backup up and running on a Windows PC is a very straightforward matter: download an installer, run it, and follow the instructions presented by a setup wizard.

The wizard lets you choose one of several supported languages.



To get started with Avira Secure Backup, you will have to log in. The nice thing is that you can quickly create an account. Just enter your email address, enter a password, and confirm that password.



You will then be asked to choose what files you want to backup to the cloud.
You can go with the default My Documents backup option or you can go with the Custom option that lets you pick and choose.



From the Advanced Options menu you can pick a computer name, pick a language, choose the backup speed, and more.



Avira Secure Backup will then go to work and backup the files and folders you specified.

There are three main tabs in the upper right hand corner.

Dashboard – tells you how much storage space you have left, lets you search and browse all files, invite friends (and earn 500MB of storage space), share files with others.



Settings – you can specify what files and folders you want to backup to the cloud. As mentioned above, you can pick one of two options: My Documents or Custom.



My Account – view the account you’re logged in with, buy more space.

  • Share files and folders – right click on a file and you will get a link; share the link with all the people you want to be able to access that file.
