Avira Internet Security 2012 Is Out, Get a Free License
Avira, company that offers home and business security software solutions, has recently announced that it released its 2012 lineup of security products. The 2012 products come with a revamped interface, new installation process, enhanced detection of known and unknown threats, and better system resources usage.
Among the new offering there’s Avira Internet Security 2012 which replaces Avira Premium Security Suite, Avira Antivirus Premium 2012 which replaces Avira AntiVir Premium, Avira Professional Security which replaces Avira AntiVir Professional, and Avira Server Security which replaces Avira AntiVir Server. The company’s free security solution Avira Free Antivirus gets to keep its name.
As Avira explained, with the 2012 lineup it put the emphasis on enhanced protection and ease of use. There are more than 100 million users who rely on Avira to protect them from all the nasties that lurk online. With the 2012 lineup Avira wanted to offer these users more security protection but without the complexity that’s usually associated with internet security. Or to put it in other words, more user friendliness, better protection.
“Our guiding philosophy in the design of our 2012 security software was ‘less is more’ – by which we give consumers, micro and small businesses more security protection with less manual configurations and decisions to make,” said Sorin Mustaca, product manager and data security expert at Avira. “In addition to overhauling our code, increasing speed and reducing complexity, we’ve taken on more ownership for automating security settings and resolving software conflicts to install easily and keep our users safe from tricky malware.”
Putting the spotlight on Avira Internet Security 2012 alone, the app is touted as being capable of offering “online confidence for the whole family”. A one-year license is available for purchase for €39,95 or $56. The thing is that you can get an Avira Internet Security 12 license for free. All you have to do is enter a sweepstakes that Avira is running on its Facebook page. Additional information on the sweepstakes is available here.
