Eugene Kaspersky, Co-founder and CEO of Kaspersky Lab, company that offers award-winning antivirus and mobile security software for home and corporate users, said at CeBIT that the security threat posed by mobile malware will increase this year and in the years to come. With more and more people accessing the internet via their mobile devices, with more and more people doing sensitive transactions (like online banking) on their mobile devices, cybercriminals will increasingly target mobiles.

"In the years to come, our digital personal life will centre more strongly around the use of mobile devices – whether we are looking at videos, participating in social networks or enjoying a spot of online shopping" said Eugene Kaspersky. "In our professional lives, however, we will be using both mobile services as well as conventional computer technology. The cybercrime scene will adapt to these changes and focus its attacks on Internet users – both of a personal and a professional nature."

It is a good thing that Kaspersky Mobile Security 9 is out. This mobile security product can offer op notch protection for Symbian, Windows Mobile, Android, and BlackBerry mobile devices. To better put things in perspective, here are Kaspersky Mobile Security 9’s main features:

- Locate a lost or stolen device.
- Remotely block or wipe a lost or stolen device.
- Store contacts, photos and files in encrypted folders.
- Hide and unhide phonebook entries, SMSs and call logs

- Parental controls that allows you to restrict your child’s calls and messages as well as keep track of his whereabouts.
- Excellent malware protection. Real-time antimalware scans, automatic updates, blocking of dangerous network connections, and so on.

“These days, smartphones are a very attractive target for cybercriminals due to the increasing amounts of valuable data that their owners store on them,” said Sergey Nevstruyev, Vice President of Mobile Solutions at Kaspersky Lab. “Kaspersky Mobile Security 9 is more than just an antivirus program for your mobile phone – it’s a comprehensive mobile security suite.
