Assassin’s Creed Identity is the mobile-exclusive action-adventure RPG that Ubisoft rolled out to the public back in February. It may be the second mobile-exclusive game in the Assassin’s Creed series (the first one being Assassin’s Creed Pirates), but it is the first to feature the third-person urban traversal-style gameplay everyone loves from the main titles.

At launch, Assassin’s Creed Identity was available for iOS only, which was a downer for all the Android users who wanted to play the game. Not anymore. The Assassin’s Creed Identity mobile game is now available for Android as well.

1. Assassin's Creed Identity comes to Android

"Android phone owners needn’t wait any longer to get their Assassin’s Creed experience on-the-go. Assassin’s Creed Identity is now available for Android users running the 4.1 Jelly Bean (or above) version of the mobile OS," Giancarlo Varanini, Content Communications Manager at Ubisoft announced on Wednesday.

This means that you can create, evolve and customize your very own assassin, no matter if you’re an iPhone or an Android user. Once you have your assassin, you can enjoy the classic parkour gameplay on your mobile, explore Italy in the Renaissance period, and complete tons of missions.

Assassin’s Creed Identity – Main Features
  • Pick a class – you have 4 classes to choose from: berserker, shadow blade, trickster, and thief.
  • Customize, evolve your assassin – choose what outfit to wear, pick what weapons to use, evolve your character from novice to master.
  • Classic parkour gameplay – run, jump, climb, explore Renaissance Italy from the rooftops. This mobile game features the same gameplay and gives you the same freedom of movement as the main game.
  • Tons of missions – explore the map, unlock new locations, uncover hundreds of items, complete tons of missions.

Assassin’s Creed Identity is available for iOS and Android on their respective app stores, where it’s priced at $4.99.

The release of Assassin’s Creed Identity for Android was the first surprise the game has in store for you. The second surprise is a big update that’s available for both iOS and Android.

2. "Forlì" content update for Assassin’s Creed Identity

"The update brings players to an all-new location, the fortified village of Forlì, and introduces a new campaign, Forlì – A Crimson Sunset. Players can explore a map from Assassin’s Creed II and Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood in two different settings, Dusk and Siege. Additionally, four brand-new story missions are included in the update as well as a completely new type of contract mission, Crow Hunt,” said Ubisoft in a press release.

Alongside all the things mentioned above, the Forlì update features improved daily challenges, new in-app item packs and outfits, as well as Weibo and Uplay support so you can play the game across multiple devices.

The downside is that you won’t get the Forlì update for free, you have to purchase it for $1.99.

So that’s $4.99 for the Assassin’s Creed Identity mobile game and another $1.99 for the Forlì update, almost $7 in all. And on top of that, the game offers in-app purchases. This could get expensive.

The upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie has something unusual to offer: bonuses for anyone who is willing to pre-purchase tickets for the movie. The pre-order packages range in value from $15 all the way up to $1,200. Out of 8 pre-order packages, 7 are still available for purchase (see here).

On the bright side, by making a purchase you’ll be a contest that gives you the chance to go to Comic-Con.
