Tomorrow, the 29th of April is a very special day for at least three people. It is a special day for Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton who will be wed at Westminster Abbey. The event will be broadcast live on YouTube on the official channel of the Royal Household here. But since Prince William and Miss Middleton have little to do with software, let’s move on.

Tomorrow, the 29th of April, is the day when Rolf Hilchner will celebrate his 55th birthday. I do believe a “Happy Birthday!” is in order. Rolf Hilchner is the CEO of Ashampoo, international computer software company based in Oldenburg, Germany, best known for its Ashampoo Burning Studio and Ashampoo WinOptimizer.

It is a joyous occasion for Hilchner, I’m sure. It is also a joyous occasion for everyone else as well. You see, the Ashampoo tradition is that everyone gets a gift, the person who celebrates his birthday and all the users out there.

To celebrate Hilchner’s bday, Ashampoo is running an interesting promotion until the 4th of May at 00:00hours. As part of this promotion all Ashampoo products (apart from Ashampoo 3D CAD Architecture version 2 and 3, and Ashampoo 3D CAD Professional version 2 and 3) are available for purchase for the low price of $10. So if you ever wanted to purchase one of Ashampoo’s products, now is the time to do it, while the price is low.

“Five or six programs for the price of one – that’s going to be an expensive birthday again,” commented Hilchner. “If someone already planned to buy burning software or a tuning suite, they now get several other of the latest programs as a gift. These will quickly become indispensable on their computer. Luckily it’s my birthday only once a year.”

So what are you waiting for? Head over to Ashampoo.com and check out their many, many applications. You can get them for just $10.
