Apple upgraded its line of notebooks, introducing a new 12-inch MacBook that is 13.1mm thin and weighs only 2 pounds. That’s a little lighter than the new HP Spectre, but it isn’t thinner than the HP Spectre, meaning it gets to keep the title of "thinnest laptop in the world."

What’s interesting about the new 12-inch MacBook, apart from the upgraded internals, is that it introduces a new color option: Rose Gold – which to be honest, looks like pink to me. And speaking about pink, Samsung announced that its Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are now available in, drum rolls please, Pink Gold.

Meet the new 12-inch MacBook with 8GB of RAM

Apple refreshed its line of ultra-portable notebook computers, introducing a new 12-inch MacBook. At only 13.1mm thin and weighing in at just 2 pounds, it is the thinnest and lightest Mac that Apple has ever made. Don’t take my word for it, here’s what Apple’s Philip Schiller had to say.

"MacBook is the thinnest and lightest Mac we have ever made and it’s our vision for the future of the notebook," said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. "Customers are going to love this update to MacBook, with the latest processors, faster graphics, faster flash storage, longer battery life and a beautiful rose gold finish."

Speaking about latest processors, faster graphics, and all that, here’s what the new 12-inch MacBook has to offer. Here’s what it hides under the hood.

And since we’re talking about the keyboard, I should also mention the Force Touch trackpad that has pressure-sensing capabilities.

Samsung makes its Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge available in Pink Gold

When Samsung introduced the new Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, the company offered 4 color options: Black Onyx, Gold Platinum, White Pearl and Silver Titanium.

There is now a 5th color option: Pink Gold.

The Pink Gold color debuted in Korea today, April 20, 2016. According to Samsung, it is going to be released in select markets soon.

“Pink Gold was chosen as it is a natural color that provides a sense of comfort. These hues glitter and shimmer as if illuminated from inside their glass surfaces,” said Samsung. “In particular, the refined, skin tone-inspired Pink Gold color scheme is intended to soothe and incorporate a touch of gentleness, radiance and sophistication to the smartphones’ design.
