Angry Birds Transformers, the mash-up of the quirky Angry Birds world and the iconic Transformers franchise, rolled out internationally. As it had previously announced, Rovio Entertainment’s worldwide launch of Angry Birds Transformers for iOS commenced on Wednesday, October 15, 2014.

“With Angry Birds Transformers we created a totally new action packed gameplay experience, where the player gets to jump into action either on their feet or on wheels”, said Jami Laes, Executive Vice President of Games, Rovio Entertainment. “This is of course just the beginning and there’s more to come! As with all of Rovio’s games, there will be exciting updates with new content and features coming in the future.”

  • Serious firepower – play as the Autobirds or the Deceptihogs and use some serious firepower as you fight for the EggSpark and fight the EggBots.
  • Upgrades – weapons can be upgraded; every Transformer can get new abilities.
  • Vehicles – every Transformer can transform into a vehicle; a car, a truck, a tank, and so on.

“We had a lot of fun working with Rovio to develop the Angry Birds Transformers characters, ensuring they captured the comedic side of the Angry Birds personalities while staying true to the heroic Transformers characters,” said Jonathan Berkowitz, Vice President Global Gaming, Hasbro. “We think fans worldwide will really enjoy this fun, new Transformers universe, mashed up with the Angry Birds world – it truly is ‘more than meets the eye’.”
