Utopia is the name of the new update that adds 10 tasty new levels to Angry Birds Space, the version of the game that presents the Angry Birds as they fly through space on an intergalactic rescue mission. What can be said about this update? Well, it’s tasty – it introduces the donut-shaped food planet of Utopia. Play through the 10 levels and you will come across cookies, candy apples, popcorn, and more.

It must be mentioned that Utopia is not the first update to Angry Birds Space. The first update was released in April and it was humorously named Fry Me to the Moon. The update brought with it 10 new levels and 20 free Space Eagles to iOS and Android users. Another free Space Eagle could be earned by iOS users who played the game on a daily basis.

Rovio Mobile, the Finish developer behind the incredibly popular Angry Birds game asked the community for help in coming up with an equally humorous name for the update that would follow after Fry Me to the Moon. Angry Birds fan Hayyie suggested Utopia for an “intergalactic feast of a planet. Rovio liked it, used the name, and rewarded Hayyie with an exclusive, signed piece of never-before-seen art and a Space Box.

Right now the Utopia update is available only for the iOS versions of Angry Birds Space, mainly the iPhone version and the HD version for iPad. The update will be rolled out to other supported platforms in the near future. So if you have an Android-powered device not an iPhone, you’ll just have to wait. Rovio said that Utopia will become available for Android “very shortly.”

Before you go get Utopia and enjoy the 10 tasty new levels, take a look at a video presentation of the update.

And just in case you’re not familiar with Angry Birds Space, here’s a video that presents the game.

It’s hardly probable that you are not familiar with Angry Birds Space – after all, it is the fastest growing mobile game. 35 days after its release, the Angry Birds Space game was downloaded more than 50 million times. Angry Birds Space broke all of Rovio’s previous records. And since we’re talking about numbers, Angry Birds games have been downloaded more than a billion times as of May 2012.
