Finish mobile games developer Rovio recently announced that it will roll out a new version of its popular Angry Birds game later this week. On Thursday, March 22, Rovio will release Angry Birds Space to the public. The game will be available for download for PCs, Macs, iOS and Android-powered devices.

The game, which presents the Angry Birds as they fly through space on an intergalactic rescue mission, is accompanied by the National Geographic Angry Birds Space Book which is now available for pre-order. The official companion book is packed with interesting space facts and nice looking pictures.

The 160-page book has 4 chapters which, according to the description on Amazon, “take the readers deeper and deeper into space—each one packed with Angry Birds, astounding space photography, and fascinating 'Astrofacts' and 'Space Data' features that surprise and enthrall”. The 4 chapters in question are as follows:
  • You Are Here: What's Out There?
  • Short Flights: The Inner Solar System
  • Longer Journey: The Outer Solar System
  • Flying Farther: Deep Space

As mentioned above, you will have to wait until Thursday to get Angry Birds Space. If you have an iOS-powered device, there is something that you can get right now: an in-depth guide of Angry Birds Space. The Daily has released an app that’s appropriately named The Daily's Angry Birds Space Guide. This is the exclusive companion publication for Angry Birds Space and a must have for any Angry Birds fan, The Daily explained. The app, which is available for free on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, presents the new bird characters, features educational info about space, and features insider information on the new features in the Angry Birds Space game. Get the app and become an expert before the Angry Birds Space game is released.
