Rovio Mobile has finally announced when Angry Birds Friends for mobile will be released to the public. The Android and iOS game will be released this Thursday, on May 2nd, 2013.

Early this April, Rovio Entertainment was glad to announce that Angry Birds Friends will be made available to mobiles so that Android and iOS users can challenge their friends in weekly tournaments while on the go. Rovio said at the time that Angry Birds Friends for mobile will be released soon – a precise release data was not provided at the time.

Things have changed – we now have a precise release date and it’s, drum rolls please, May 2nd. This means that this Thursday you will be able to get Angry Birds Friends, install it on your iOS or Android, challenge friends in weekly tournament, give and receive gifts, get daily rewards, and boast about your accomplishments, all from your mobile device.

Until Angry Birds Friends for mobile is released, you can practice by playing Angry Birds Friends on Facebook.

And speaking about things that will be rolled out this May, Samsung recently announced that the WiFi version of the new Galaxy Tab 3 will be available globally beginning May, 2013. There will also be a 3G version of the 7-inch, Android-powered tablet; it will be released this June.

If you want to know what the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 has to offer, here’s a quick lowdown at what’s under the hood (just the main features): 1.2GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM memory, 8 or 16GB of storage device, slot for a microSD slot (up to 64GB), 3MP rear and 1.3MP front facing camera. From a software point of view, it will come with the regular Google services (search, Gmail, Play Store, YouTube, and so on) and with the regular Samsung services (Samsung Apps, Samsung Hub, Kies, and so on).
