Rovio Entertainment, the developer of the incredibly popular Angry Birds game, recently announced that an animated series based on its game will be released this March.

With millions of users across multiple platforms, there’s no need to introduce the Angry Birds game. What needs to be introduced though is the new animated series based on the incredibly popular Angry Birds game. Rovio Entertainment, the game’s developer, announced this week that the Angry Birds Toons all-new animated series will be released on March 16/17. And to give us a taste of what to expect, the company rolled out the teaser video that I’ve embedded below.

“Angry Birds Toons is an all-new animated series that throws the doors to Piggy Island wide open! For the first time ever, you can get up close and personal with your favorite characters. Join us every week starting the weekend of March 16th for a brand new episode featuring the latest adventures of the birds and pigs!” explained Rovio Entertainment.

Rovio set up a special website for Angry Birds Toons. Stay tuned to it to find out more about the animated series.

In related news, Rovio recently announced that it managed to get 1 billion views on its YouTube channel. To celebrate this joyous occasion the company rolled out a Harlem Shake video – check it out below.

In further related news, Rovio recently released an update for Bad Piggies, the Angry Birds spinoff that puts the emphasis on the egg-stealing green pigs. The update in question is called Road Hogs – it comes with 30 new Flight in the Night levels, an all new Road Hogs mode, 6 time trial challenges, and global leaderboards.
