Umano General Presentation
What this SoThree-developed app does is it makes reading the news as easy as listening to the radio. There are numerous apps out there (Flipboard and Google Currents come to mind) that provide easy access to news and other top quality content that is freely available online. The thing is that to stay up to date with the latest news you have to read this content yourself. The Umano app takes the reading out of the equation – it reads the news to you. You get to enjoy high quality content with high quality voices. It’s like listening to a radio station that only reports the news you care about.

Umano Availability
The app is offered by its developer, SoThree, for the great price of free.

Umano for iOS was rolled out to the public back in December 2012. Get it from the Apple App Store here. The app is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. It requires iOS 5.1 or later.

Umano for Android was released late January 2013. Get it from the Google Play Store here. The app works with Android 2.2 and newer, meaning it will work with 95% of all Android phones out there. Please note though that at this time the Android app is not on par with the iOS version. SoThree explained that it is working hard to address this situation.
