The Android version of Mozilla’s Firefox web browser is, without a doubt, quite a popular app. How popular you ask?

Well, Mozilla just announced that the browser has been downloaded more than 100 million times from Google’s Play Store.

“We’re proud to share that Firefox for Android has now been downloaded more than 100 million times from Google Play, and has always been consistently rated by users with more than 4.0 stars,” said Mozilla. “From customization, easy search settings and adaptive sharing, to privacy coaching and home panel add-ons, we’ve built an experience that goes beyond browsing, to offer users greater flexibility and control over their online lives.”

When you develop a properly good app, it’s only natural that people will flock to it. And what Mozilla did here is it created a properly good mobile browser. Firefox for Android is fast, it is easy to use, it is customizable, it keeps you safe and it protects your online privacy, it syncs with Firefox on your desktop, it provides support for a ton of languages, and more.

Mozilla again:
“We’ve always been focused on delivering a product that people love and supports the values of our mission to promote openness, innovation and opportunity online. By choosing to search for, download and actively use Firefox as their Android browser, our users are reinforcing Mozilla’s mission and embracing Firefox as part of their daily, mobile lives.”

If you don’t have Firefox on your Android mobile, I suggest you give it a try.

Go get Firefox for Android for free from Google Play.

Back in January, Mozilla announced that its official site for add-ons served more than 4 billion add-ons to Firefox users who wanted to customize, enhance and improve their browser. Add-ons, by the way, are supported by Firefox for Android.
