Until now, Android users who wanted to find and meet new people, could get the MeetMe app from Google Play. Now, they have a second option: the Amazon App Store.

MeetMe, the leading social network for meeting new people in the US and the public market leader for social discovery, is now available for download from Google Play and from the Amazon App Store.

“We are excited to make MeetMe available to the millions of people who use the Amazon Appstore,” said Geoff Cook, CEO of MeetMe. “With this additional download channel, MeetMe becomes even more accessible and, we believe, will be able to help even more users find new people with whom to chat and connect.”

Back in July, MeetMe made the news here on FindMySoft because it announced that the Android app had been downloaded more than 20 million times from Google Play.

“Passing 20 million downloads on Google Play is a testament to the team’s hard work to make MeetMe the best place to meet new people everywhere,” said Geoff Cook at the time. “We are thrilled that in recent months over half of our new downloads on Android are international, and we look forward to more growth, both in the US and internationally, as we continue to enhance the application to make more, high quality matches.”

All this talk about the Amazon App Store and Google Play may have you thinking that the MeetMe app is an Android-exclusive. Not the case! MeetMe is also available for Apple’s iOS and for Microsoft’s Windows Phone. Here are download links so you can get whatever version you want.
