"AVG Memory and Cache Cleaner" is the name of the first app. And the second new mobile app to be released by the security company is called "AVG Image Shrinker".

Security company AVG Technologies recently announced that it added two new apps to its mobile offering. Developed with the modern Android user in mind, the two new apps in question are AVG Cleaner, a tool that will enhance Android performance by automatically freeing up device memory and storage space, and AVG Image Shrinker, a tool that reduces image size and lets you easily share images with others.

AVG Memory & Cache Cleaner helps you get rid of cached processes, unnecessary browsing history, phone and text logs, and clipboard files. You can get rid of all these things yourself, or you can take advantage of the scheduler and let the app automatically free up memory and storage space. You can get the app for free from Google’s Play Store.

Main Features
  • Monitors device memory and storage space.
  • Removes and clears browsing history usage, phone call logs, SMS logs, cached processes.
  • Weekly cache cleaning function that automatically frees up memory.
  • User friendly, intuitive interface.
  • The app is offered for the great price of free.
  • Works with Android 2.1 and newer.

AVG Image Shrink & Share - this app’s name pretty much gives away the functionality it has to offer. The app focuses on two tasks: shrinking your images so uploading them takes less time and reduces mobile data usage; and helping you share your photos with others. You can upload images to Facebook, Google+, Instagram, and more; you can also email them to others. Go get the app from the Play Store now!

Main features
  • Shrinks JPEG, PNG, and BMP images, as well as images you took with the camera.
  • Resizes pictures.
  • Share images on social networks, via email, IM, or MMS.
  • Use the default settings or customize your preferences for resizing images.
  • This is a free app.
  • Works with Android 2.1 and newer.
