Security company Avast will help ASUS customers surf the web safely and anonymously. That’s because ASUS chose to preload Avast SecureLine VPN onto its notebooks.

Avast SecureLine VPN will be made available on ASUS notebooks worldwide, with the exception of China.

“Avast SecureLine VPN on ASUS devices gives consumers peace of mind, knowing that their sensitive personal data and information is protected and they can browse the Internet safely. Our strategic partnership with ASUS allows us to bring both a high-quality product along with safety and security to consumers – something we think is essential in today’s always-on, digital world” said Vince Steckler, CEO at Avast.

Avast SecureLine VPN will be preloaded on ASUS X series notebooks. Customers will get to use the VPN solution for free for 30 days; and once these 30 days are up, they’ll get a discounted renewal. If you don’t think 30 days is very much, you need to know that the default evaluation period is 7 days. And there was a time when the evaluation period was a mere 3 days.

But lets not get distracted by the mount of time we can use Avast SecureLine VPN and let’s focus on what this VPN solution has to offer.

Avast SecureLine VPN – Main Features
  • VPN servers – connect to VPN servers in the US, UK, Germany, Japan, and other locations.
  • Encrypted connection – incoming and outgoing data is encrypted; you’re thus protected against snooping and eavesdropping.
  • Anonymity – SecureLine VPN masks your real IP address, allowing you to anonymously surf the web.
  • No traces – Avast doesn’t keep any logs and prevents others from logging your activities.
