To have access to Origin Access and the 50+ PC games that are in its Vault, you have to pay $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year. But for a limited time only, EA is giving you the chance to try its game subscription service for free.

Join Origin Access any time before March 7 and you’ll get a free 7-day trial. If you like Origin Access, keep the game subscription and choose if you want to pay for it monthly or yearly. If you don’t like it or you can’t afford it, cancel anytime during your 7-day trial and you won’t be charged.

What is Origin Access?

Origin Access is the PC alternative to EA Access, the game subscription service that’s been available for console gamers since the summer of 2015.

Released in January 2016, Origin Access is a game subscription service for PC only that, on top of providing access to a growing collection of awesome games, lets you try new EA games before they’re released, and gives you a 10% discount on Origin purchases.

This means that there are 3 main advantages to getting an Origin Access subscription:
  • The Vault – free access to 50+ great PC titles.
  • Try before you buy – play trials of new EA games before they’re released. If you decide to buy the game, your progress automatically carries over.
  • 10% member discount – get 10% off whenever you purchase a full game from Origin, even if that game is already discounted or on sale. The discount also applies to DLC, 3rd party content, and season passes.
Here’s Bill Nye the Science Guy explaining how you can enjoy endless PC gaming with Origin Access.

Battlefield 1 and other games are in the Vault

As mentioned above, the Origin Access Vault is home to more than fifty PC games. One of those games is Battlefield 1, the first-person shooter that takes you back to The Great War (that’s World War 1). Join Origin Access and EA will let you play Battlefield 1 and "experience the dawn of all-out war" for a full 10 hours.

Here are some other great PC games you’ll find in the Vault:
  • Unravel – a physics-based puzzle platformer that presents a heartfelt story about trying to mend a broken bond and focuses on overcoming obstacles.
  • Mirror’s Edge Catalyst – an open world action-adventure platform video game in which you play as Faith Connors, a carefree and self-assured thrill-seeker. Traverse the futuristic city of Glass and go against the oppressive Conglomerate as well as the evil Gabriel Kruger.
  • FIFA 17 – play this association football video game for free for a full 10 hours. Play the full FIFA 16 or FIFA 15 games with an Origin Access subscription.
  • Aragami – an action-adventure stealth video game in which you play as an undead assassin who has the power to control the shadows.
  • Need for Speed – EA’s full reboot of the popular NFS racing franchise.
  • The Banner Saga – a Viking-themed tactical role-playing video game where your strategic choices directly affect your personal journey.
  • Dragon Age Inquisition – the action role-playing video game that won Game of the Year at the 18th annual D.I.C.E. Awards.
  • This War of Mine – a war survival video game where you do not play as an elite soldier, rather a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city; struggling with lack of food, medicine and constant danger from snipers and hostile scavengers.
  • Dead Space, Dead Space 2, Dead Space 3 – a third person survival horror video game series.
  • Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3 – get ready for Mass Effect Andromeda by replaying the previous games in the franchise.
  • Star Wars Battlefront – try the action shooter video game for 4 hours.
  • And more.
