The week is almost over and you’re excited to go home and play video games all weekend long. But... you don’t want to play any of the games you already own and you don’t want to spend any money on buying something new. Well, since you’re not exactly sure what to play, let me throw a few suggestions your way.

Ubisoft is letting you try its hack and slash fighting game For Honor for free this weekend; the offer is available for multiple platforms, including Steam. Speaking about Steam, it is giving you the chance to play Saints Row IV for free for a limited time. And speaking about limited time deals, Humble Bundle is offering Space Pilgrim Episode 1 and Pony Island completely free alongside the Humble microJumbo Bundle.

1. For Honor

When For Honor launched back in February, the gaming world was hyped and eager to play a game where Vikings, Samurai and Knights fought against one another in a medieval setting. Skip ahead a few months and For Honor is no longer an eagerly awaited title, being branded as one of the worst games of the year. Out of all the reviews that its has on Steam, the recent ones are "mostly negative" and the overall feeling towards the game is "mixed."

If you don’t want to give For Honor a try, I can certainly understand why. But seeing that Ubisoft is letting you try For Honor for free, you might as well see if all the criticism is warranted. If For Honor does indeed suck, at least you gave it a shot. If it doesn’t suck and you end up liking it, you can get it for a considerable discounts. As expected, For Honor is free for the weekend AND it is heavily discounted as well.

The For Honor Free Weekend is available for PC via Uplay and Steam, for Xbox One if you have Xbox Live Gold, and for PS4 . Console players have until August 14 at 4:59PM PDT and PC gamers have until August 13 at 1PM PDT to play For Honor for free.

Judging by the reviews, chances are that you won’t like For Honor. But if you do, then you can get the game for half off. For Honor Standard, Deluxe and Gold Edition are all discounted by 50% meaning that you could get the Standard Edition for $30 instead of $60, the Deluxe Edition for $35 instead of $70, and the Gold Edition for $50 instead of $100.

Bonus – Humble microJumbo Bundle

The Humble microJumbo Bundle, Humble Bundle’s latest bundle, is currently offering 13 indie games for the low price of $3. Out of all the games that are part of the bundle, two are available for free: Space Pilgrim Episode 1 and Pony Island.

Space Pilgrim Episode 1 is a sci-fi adventure game that has very positive reviews on Steam. There are four episodes in all and each individual episode is priced at $1.99 or €0.99 on Steam.

"Captain Gail Pilgrim has been flying starships since she was a kid, ferrying passengers between planets and space stations across the galaxy. She has no reason to expect that this latest trip to Alpha Centauri will be anything special, even if her passengers are a little more diverse than usual: a fusion scientist, a retired space marine and a priest. However, it turns out to be far from a routine interstellar voyage…"

Pony Island is a puzzle game that has overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam, where it is currently priced at $4.99.

"Pony Island is a suspense puzzle game in disguise. You are in limbo, trapped in a malevolent and malfunctioning arcade machine devised by the devil himself. The devil detests having his puzzles solved and poor programming exposed; you will need to think outside the box to proceed and you will be insulted when you do."
