Bethesda managed to cover a lot of ground during its 40-minutes long showcase at E3 2017. All of the titles that were announced are going to be released this year, which is a welcome change considering that other companies showcase their games years in advance. But let’s not get distracted…

So as I was saying, Bethesda managed to present quite a lot of stuff during its E3 2017 showcase. Here are the 10 most important Bethesda announcements I’m excited about!

1. Fallout 4 VR is coming this October

We already knew that Fallout 4 was coming to virtual reality, because Bethesda announced Fallout 4 VR during last year’s E3 showcase. At this year’s showcase, the company provided a few more details about the game, including the fact that Fallout 4 VR is the entire Fallout 4 game, not just a walk through the Wasteland. Oh, and the fact that Fallout 4 VR is going to be released sometime this October.

Fallout 4 VR is going to be released in October 2017. It will be available for HTC Vive.

If you want to pre-order Fallout 4 VR, you can do so right now on Steam. The game is priced at $60.

2. Doom is getting the VR treatment too

If you thought that 2015’s critically-acclaimed Doom wasn’t gruesome enough, then get ready for Doom: VFR, a Doom game built specifically for virtual reality. "Since the hallmark of any DOOM game is combat, we’ve made it our top priority to ensure moving, shooting and killing demons with overwhelming force in virtual reality is as brutal and rewarding as it is in the Doom experience that fans have been enjoying for the past year," said Doom Game Director Marty Stratton.

Doom VFR is "coming soon." It will be available for HTC Vive and PlayStation VR.

If you want to pre-order Doom: VFR, you can do so right now on Steam. The game is priced at $30.

3. Wolfenstein: The New Order is getting a sequel

In 2014, Bethesda soft rebooted the Wolfenstein series by releasing The New Order. In 2015, Bethesda came out with The Old Blood, a prequel to The New Order. And in October 2017, they’re going to release The New Colossus, a sequel that has BJ Blazkowicz facing off against the Nazi regime on his home turf, 1961 America. BJ leads the Resistance against the Nazi occupation and fights them everywhere from post-nuclear Manhattan to small-town Roswell or the bayous and boulevards of New Orleans.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is going to be released on October 27, 2017. It will be available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

If you want to pre-order the New Colossus, you can do so right now on Steam. The game is priced at $60.

4. BJ Blazkowicz stars in Quake Champions

Quake Champions (sign up to join the Closed Beta) has been updated and received several new additions: new maps, a brand new weapon, and a brand new champion – the gun-toting badass from the Wolfenstein series, none other than BJ Blazkowicz. His active ability allows "Terror-Billy" (that’s the nickname the Nazis gave him) to dual-wield any of the weapons in the game.

Quake Champions is "coming soon." The game will be available for PC.

5. The Evil Within is getting a sequel as well

Tango Gameworks and horror mastermind Shinji Mikami are working on a sequel to 2014’s critically- and widely-praised survival horror game, The Evil Within. Aptly named The Evil Within 2, it presents Sebastian stepping into the horror once again in order to save Lily, the daughter he believed he lost years ago. "The story we’ve crafted for you is very compelling," said Executive Producer Shinji Mikami. "Each stage you’ll delve into is very unique. I hope people enjoy the game, and I encourage everyone to thoroughly explore the world."

The Evil Within 2 is going to be released on October 13, 2017. It will be available for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

If you want to pre-order The Evil Within 2, you can do so right now on Steam. The game is priced at $60.

6. A standalone Dishonored spin-off is coming this September

Billie Lurk, the most notorious killer-for-hire in Dunwall, stars in the upcoming standalone spin-off Dishonored: Death of the Outsider. Alongside her mentor, the legendary assassin Daud, Billie has to find and kill the Outsider, "a 4,000-year-old entity who’s been at the heart of the Empire’s most dishonorable moments." Completing this mission will truly turn Billie Lurk into the ultimate supernatural assassin.

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is going to be released on September 15, 2017. It will be available for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

If you want to pre-order Death of the Outsider, you can do so right now on Steam. The game is priced at $30.

7. Skyrim is coming to Nintendo’s Switch

Remember Nintendo’s first look video for the Switch portable console? It started by presenting Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and then switched to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. At E3 2017, Bethesda confirmed that Skyrim is coming soon to Nintendo’s Switch. Skyrim for the Nintendo Switch includes all-new gameplay features like motion controls for combat and lockpicking, outfits and gear from The Legend of Zelda, plus additional loot unlocked from compatible The Legend of Zelda amiibo.

Skyrim for the Nintendo Switch is "coming soon."

8. The Elder Scrolls: Legends is getting a Heroes of Skyrim expansion

Since The Elder Scrolls: Legends is a fairly new game and you might not be familiar with it, here’s the quick lowdown: it is a strategy card game based on the world and lore of the award-winning Elder Scrolls series. Legends is free to play, available on Bethesda.net as well as Steam.

At E3 2017, Bethesda introduced a Legends expansion called Heroes of Skyrim. It’s made up of more than 150 cards, it introduces Shouts, and it features familiar characters and dragons – like Aela the Huntress, J’Zargo, Alduin, and Paarthurnax.

The Heroes of Skyrim expansion for The Elder Scrolls: Legends is going to be released on June 29, 2017.

9. The Elder Scrolls Online is getting 2 more DLC

Having just released Morrowind earlier this month, Zenimax is now gearing up to roll out a couple more DLCs for The Elder Scrolls Online MMORPG. The first DLC is called Horns of the Reach and it includes two new dungeons, new items, monster masks, and achievements. The second DLC is called Clockwork City and it features more than 10 hours of fresh content.

Horns of the Reach is going be released in August. Clockwork City will be released "later this year."

10. Creation Club for Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition

"Creation Club is a collection of all-new content for both Fallout 4 and Skyrim," Bethesda explained. "It features new items, abilities and gameplay created by Bethesda Games Studios and outside development partners, including the best community creators. Creation Club content is fully curated and compatible with the main game and official add-ons."

Creation Club for Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition is going to be released "later this summer". It will be available for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
