Samsung Electronics announced today that its brand new Galaxy S4 smartphone hit the 10 million milestone in just one month. The S4 sold faster than any of its predecessors – it’s a new record for Samsung.



As of this April, the new Samsung Galaxy S4 became available for purchase from 327 carriers in 155 countries. One month later, Samsung Electronics made an announcement that showcases just how eager customers from around the world were to get their hands on the Android-powered device. Samsung announced that in just 1 month since the S4 hit the market, more than 10 million customers purchased the smartphone.

The S4 sold quicker than any of its predecessors and set a new record for Samsung. The previous model, the Galaxy S3 reached the 10 million mark 50 days after its launch. The even older Galaxy S2 managed to hit the same 10 million mark in 5 months. It took the first device in the series, the Galaxy S1, even more than that to sell 10 million units – a whopping 7 months.
