Rise of Iron, the fourth expansion for Bungie and Activision’s first person shooter, brings with it an all new cinematic story campaign and a lot of fresh new content: an all-new setting on Earth called The Plaguelands, a brand-new six-player Raid, Felwinter Peak, a new social space that looks out onto The Plaguelands, new cooperative three-player Strike, more quests, weapons, gear, competitive multiplayer mode and maps, a Light level increase, a new mutated enemy faction of the Fallen, and more.

The fact that Rise of Iron has quite a lot to offer will surely put a smile on your face. Here’s one other thing that will do that: uncovering the funny names some of the weapons have. Such as…

1. Disassembly Required rocket launcher

Step 1. Point at enemy.
Step 2. Disassemble enemy.

Are the instructions unclear?

2. Seventh Sense sniper rifle

It’s difficult to explain… But, if you have it, you’ll know.

So that’s sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch. Then your sense of humor. And then this thing.

3. Anton’s Rule sidearm

Don’t include it unless you intend to use it.

That’s a reference to Anton Checkov’s gun, a dramatic principle that says you shouldn’t put a loaded gun on the stage if it isn’t going to go off.

4. The Palindrome hand cannon

Draw, O coward!

Palindrome (noun): a word, phrase, or sequence that reads the same backward as forward.

5. The Continental auto rifle

This one’s not from around here.

If it’s not from here, does it mean it’s from there?

6. B-29 Party Favor pulse rifle

Let's get this party started.

I’m sick of begging you! (as Korn would put it).

7. Angel’s Advocate scout rifle

Just… Come on. Just don't.

I’m giving you the chance to back away. Take it!

8. The Hero Formula scout rifle

It’s just so satisfying.

The cable company scene from South Park comes to mind, I don’t know why.

9. How Dare You hand cannon

You think you’re so great…

Hey! Hey! My gun is up here!

10. Teacup Tempest sidearm

Deadlier than it seems.

Small, but deadly (I hope).

Bonus – Bonekruscher machine gun

Your bones… I will crush them.

It’s best if you read it like Arnold Schwarzenegger.
