10 Cloud Clients to Help You Effortlessly Sync Your Files for Free

Do the math and you’ll see that put together, the cloud clients listed below offer more than 100GB of free online storage space.

That's online storage space that you can use to securely back up your important data, to conveniently sync said data across all your devices, and easily share data with others.

1. Microsoft OneDrive – 15GB for free, built into your OS

The best and at the same time the worst thing about Microsoft’s OneDrive is that it is built into the Windows operating system (Windows 8.1 or later). Sign into your Microsoft account and you’ll be able to use OneDrive to manually upload files to the cloud, automatically upload photos and videos to the cloud, view and edit Office documents, and keep files synced between your desktop and mobile devices.

At first, OneDrive offered just 7GB of free cloud storage space. Now, it offers 15GB for free. You can earn some more free storage space by activating the camera-roll backup on your mobile phone and by referring friends (500Mb per friend, up to 5GB).

OneDrive for Windows and OneDrive for Mac are available for download right here on FindMySoft. Visit the official OneDrive website to get OneDrive for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, or Xbox.

2. Dropbox – Start with 2GB and earn more

Dropbox is the cloud service I’ve used for the longest period of time. I rely on it to securely store important files and to easily access said files from anywhere. Like when I go on vacation for example. After I take a picture with my smartphone, it is automatically uploaded to the cloud where it’s safe. If I manage to break or lose my smartphone, my precious pictures will be safe. I'll be able to access them from anywhere in the world, just by using a browser to sign into my Dropbox account. And I'll be able to share them with others with the greatest of ease.

Dropbox will get you started with a mere 2GB of free cloud storage space. But it gives you the chance to earn more by performing simple tasks like posting a tweet, linking your Facebook, or using the Carousel gallery mobile app.

Dropbox for Windows and Dropbox for Mac are available for download right here on FindMySoft. Visit the official Dropbox website to get Dropbox for other platforms.

3. Google Drive – 15GB to store all your files

Google’s cloud service, Google Drive, has been around since spring 2012. I remember, because there were lots of rumors going around that Google is working on a cloud storage service. And after Google denied the rumors on multiple occasions, in April 2012 it unveiled Google Drive. Sundar Pichai, Product Chief at Google, presented it at the time as “a place where you can create, share, collaborate, and keep all of your stuff.”

Google Drive gives you 15GB of cloud storage space for free, with the option to purchase more if needed. While I mostly use it within my browser, you need to know that Google Drive is available as a Windows application, Mac application, iOS app, and Android app.

4. Zeospace – 10+GB for lightning fast sharing

Sign up for a Zeospace account and get 1GB of free cloud storage. Complete a Knowledge Tour, learn how to use functions like taking a screenshot, sharing a file from the right click menu, and how to upload photos from your web browser, and earn an extra 9GB of free storage space. Complete and Advanced Tour, learn more about Zeospace’s advanced features, and earn an additional 1GB. Refer friends and earn 500MB per friend, up to 10GB in all.

Zeospace offers all the functionality you would expect to get from a cloud client. The developer insists on pointing out one main feature: Zeospace’s lightning fast sharing capabilities.

5. MEGAsync – A whopping 50GB for free

The most astonishing thing about the MEGAsync is that it puts a whopping 50GB of cloud storage space at your disposal. That’s the most generous offer on this list! There is a catch though: free accounts come with limited bandwidth.

One the bright side, MEGAsync features end-to-end encryption. So all the data you transfer on your limited bandwidth connection, it’s encrypted so that no one can snoop on you. Another upside is that MEGAsync is very similar to Dropbox. It creates a special folder and everything you put in that folder is uploaded to the cloud and synced across all your devices.

MEGAsync for Windows is available here on FindMySoft. Visit the official MEGA website to get the Mac, Linux, or mobile versions.

6. CloudMe – Stores everything in the EU

The main thing that sets CloudMe apart from all the other applications on this list is that it stores all your data in the European Union (EU). This is an European cloud service and an independent company located in Sweden. Everything you upload to the cloud is protected under EU laws and is stored within the EU.

Speaking about that, CloudMe get you started with 3GB of free cloud storage space. You can get your free cloud storage space up to 19GB by referring friends you know would like to use an application like CloudMe. You’ll earn 500MB for every friend you refer and your friend will get 500MB by using your invitation.

7. pCloud – Up to 20GB for all your personal files

This is a recommendation from my colleague Frederick Barton who is a fan of pCloud. Why you ask? There are several reasons why you and anyone else will like pCloud: it puts up to 20GB of free storage space at your disposal and reassures you that it will remain free forever; it securely transfers and securely stores your data; it’s great for storing personal files and makes it incredibly easy to share large files with others.

Stoamigo’s TackApp gives you a measly 1GB of cloud storage space for free. But you won’t care about that, because you’ll be able to create your own cloud. Impressive, right? That’s why I saved TackApp for last, because it’s the best entry on this list.

TackApp lets you select any drive on your PC and make it available on the cloud. Tack a drive to your Stoamigo account and it will be accessible from the cloud. You’ll be able to access that drive from anywhere, you’ll be able to remotely manage data stored on the drive, you’ll be able to share data with others.
