By default, the Google developed web browser Chrome offers to save your passwords. Like for example when you sign into your Google account, Chrome offers to remember the password you typed in. You could of course disable this default behavior, but why would you? By saving your passwords, Chrome makes life easier for you. The fact that it stores the password means you do not have to type it in every time you want to sign in.
There is one drawback. Since the password is displayed as *******, you may forget what that password was. A properly strong password is not that easy to remember, and since you did not type in it each and every day (because Chrome saved you the trouble) you may forget it. If this were to happen, you can easily view the passwords Chrome saved.
Here is what you have to do:
Step 1. First of all you need to launch the Chrome browser. So double click the desktop icon, click the Chrome icon from the Start menu, or whatever other means you use to launch the software application.
Step 2. Click the wrench menu.
Step 3. From the dropdown menu that appears select Options.
Step 4. The Google Chrome Options window will appear. Click the Personal Stuff tab.
Step 5. In the Passwords section click Show saved passwords.
Step 6. The Passwords and exceptions window will appear -> click the Saved passwords tab.
Step 7. Click the site that interests you from the list and then click Show Password. Repeat the process to view the password for any other site in the list.
Step 8. Click Close to close the Passwords and exceptions window -> click Close to close the Google Chrome Options window.
