Thanks to Google Calendar, the free time-management web application developed by the Mountain View-based search engine giant and released to the public back in ’06, you can rest assured that never again will you forget about an important event. Because Google Calendar was developed with convenience in mind, you can instruct it to send you a reminder either via email or via text message. With the idea of convenience in mind, I thought it a good idea to present to you all the various keyboard shortcuts you can use in Google Calendar – because sometimes it is more convenient to use the keyboard instead of the mouse. Not to mention that it may prove to be a lot faster too.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts you can use in Google Calendar:

Tips and warnings
  • You can use keyboard shortcuts in other Google developed services as well. For example you can take advantage of the keyboard shortcuts included in Google Reader, or the ones in Gmail. Please note that Gmail keyboard shortcuts must be activated first.
  • If you ever forget what keyboard shortcuts are available in Google Reader, you could return to this article. Alternatively you could press ? and a menu of keyboard shortcuts will be brought up.
  • Google explained that “navigating around a calendar should be fast and easy” and that is why it provided these keyboard shortcuts to Google Reader users.
