Social networking is more popular than ever. Facebook for example announced that as of September 15th, 2009, the number of Facebook accounts surpassed the 300 million mark. Flock is a web browser built on the Firefox code that addresses the social needs of the user. But this article is not about what Flock has to offer, it is about how you can use it in a more efficient manner via keyboard shortcuts.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts you can use in Flock, on your Mac OS X-powered machine:


Command + Left arrow - Back
Command + Right arrow - Forward
F5 or Ctrl + R - Reload
Command F5 or Command Shift R Reload (override cache)
Esc – Stop loading
Command + Shift + Del - Clear private data

Command + K - Web search
F6 or Command + L - Select location bar
Command + Return - Complete .com address
Shift + Return - Complete .net address
Command + Shift + Return - Complete .org address

Command + C - Copy
Command + X - Cut
Command + V - Paste
Command + Z - Undo
Command + Shift + Z - Redo
Command + A - Select all
Command +P - Print
Command + S - Save page

Command J - Downloads
Command + U - Page source

Command + T - New tab
Command + N - New window
Command + T - Open in new tab
Command + Option – Change tab
Command + W - Close tab
Command + W or Command + Shift + W - Close window
Command+1 through 9 - Select tab 1 through 9

Command + Shift + N - Create new collection in Favorites manager
Command + Shift + A - Open accounts and services
Command + Shift + B - Open blog editor
Command + Shift + O - Open blog post
Command + Shift + J - Open error console
Command + Shift + F - Open favorites
Command + O - Open file
Command + Shift + M - Open mediabar
Command + Shift + N - Open news feeds
Command + Shift + U - Open uploader
Command + Shift + C - Open web clipboard

Command – (minus key) Decrease text size (zoom out)
Command + (plus key) Increase text size (zoom in)
Command + 0(zero) - Restore text size (reset zoom level)

Shift + Del - Delete selected autocomplete entry

Command + F - Find (in page)
F3 or Command + G - Find again
Shift + F3 or Command + Shift + G - Find previous

Command + Shift + H Show all history
Command + D - Star current page
Command + Shift + D - Star and tag

F7 - Caret browsing
F11 - Full screen
F1 - Help
