Step 1. First of all you will have to launch the Chrome browser. So double click the Chrome icon on your desktop, click the Chrome icon in the Start Menu, or just type on Chrome.exe in Run. Whatever means you use to launch the software application, use it.

Step 2. In the top right hand corner of the screen there’s an icon that looks like a wrench. Actually, this icon is commonly referred to as the wrench menu -> click it.

Step 3. From the dropdown menu that appears, click Options

Step 4. The Google Chrome Options window will appear. At the top you’ll see three tabs: Basics, Personal Stuff, and Under the Hood. The last tab is the one you’ll want to click now.

Step 5. In the Under the Hood tab, in the bottom right hand corner of the window, click Reset to defaults.

Step 6. This warning message will appear:
When you reset Google Chrome any changes you’ve made will be reverted to the default settings. Do you want to reset Chrome options?

Click Reset to defaults.

Step 7. Click Close to, well, close the Google Chrome Options window and you’re done.
