Manually Check for Updates in BitTorrent
By default, the BitTorrent application will automatically check to see if there are any updates available for you to download. But if you don’t want to rely on the automatic update feature to get your updates, you could always manually check for updates. This is a pretty straightforward process as you will see from the detailed, step-by-step instructions presented below.
Here is what you have to do to manually check for updates in BitTorrent:
Step 1. The first thing you need to do is launch the BitTorrent application.
In this regard you can double click the BitTorrent icon on your desktop, click the BitTorrent icon on the Start Menu, type in bittorrent.exe in Run, or any other method you use to launch the application.
Step 2. Take a look at the top left hand corner of the BitTorrent window. There you will see three menus: File, Options and Help. Click Help.
Step 3. A dropdown menu will appear. Click Check for Updates. Now wait for BitTorrent to check for any available updates. If one is detected, you will be prompted to download and install it. If no update is found, the following message will appear: There is no new version available at this time! Click OK and you’re done.
