Here is what you have to do to install uTorrent:
Step 1. the first thing you need to do is download the setup executable. Click here (a new tab will open) -> click Download -> save the .exe file on your machine. I usually save it on the desktop because it is easier to remove it when the installation process is over.
Step 2. Double click the uTorrent setup executable (the .exe file you just downloaded) to launch the setup wizard.
Step 3. You will first see the Welcome to the uTorrent Setup Wizard screen. Just click Next.
Step 4. You will be presented with a warning that various sites are trying to exploit uTorrent’s good name. uTorrent is freeware; you should never pay for using uTorrent. Click Next.
Step 5. It is time to read the License Agreement. When you’re done click I Agree.
Step 6. You must know specify the location where uTorrent will be installed. The default location is C:Program FilesuTorrent. If you’re happy with that then move on.
You must also specify if you would like to create an uTorrent entry in the Start menu, an uTorrent icon in the Quick Launch menu and an uTorrent icon on the desktop. When you’re done, click Next.
Step 7. Take the time to configure uTorrent and specify which files uTorrent will handled by default.
In the Additional Settings section at the bottom, there are two options:
Add an exception for uTorrent in Windows Firewall – I would suggest you leave this box checked.
Start uTorrent when Windows starts up – I would suggest you uncheck this box. Programs that load at startup will only slow down the boot process. Leave the option checked only if you think you will extensively use uTorrent. Click Next when you’re done.
Step 8. It is now time to opt out of some things. Uncheck the box next to
Set my homepage to Ask.com
Make Ask.com my default search provider
I accept the License Agreement and Privacy Policy and want to install the Ask.com Toolbar
Click Install after that.
Step 9. Wait for the installation process to complete.
