In a previous article we’ve shown you how to export bookmarks in Google Chrome. Bookmarking webpages, as you may already know, ensures you will be able to easily return to that webpage. As time goes by, you will certainly amass a large number of bookmarks – and this is where exporting those bookmarks comes in. You export the bookmarks, move to another computer, import the bookmarks and presto, you have access to all the webpages you’ve bookmarked over time.
Here is what you have to do to import your bookmarks in Google chrome:
Step 1. Launch the Chrome browser.
Obviously you should have previously exported your bookmarks – if you don’t know how to export them, check out this tutorial. Also, you should have the exported bookmarks file on hand.
Step 2. Click the wrench menu from the top right hand corner of the window.
Step 3. A dropdown menu will appear. Click Bookmark Manager.
Step 4. From the top left hand corner of the Bookmark Manager window, click Tools -> then click Import bookmarks.
Step 5. The Open window will appear. Locate the bookmarks file and then click Open.
Step 6. Close the Bookmark Manager window and you’re done.
