Edit Bookmarks in Google Chrome
Now that we’ve gotten how to create bookmarks in Google Chrome and how to delete bookmarks in Google Chrome out of the way, let’s focus on how to edit these bookmarks in the Google developed web browser. You should know that you can edit a lot of data related to a specific bookmark:
- The bookmark’s name
- The bookmark’s URL address
- The folder where the bookmark is stored
- Edit the name of the folder where the bookmark is stored.
Editing the data related to a bookmark can be done in one of two ways. Here’s the first one:
Step 1. Launch the Google Chrome browser.
Step 2. Right click a bookmark from the bookmarks bar.
Step 3. From the menu that appears select Edit.
Step 4. Make all the changes you want. When you’re done, click OK.
There is a second way to edit the data related to a bookmark. It involves using the Bookmark Manager. Here is what you have to do:
Step 1. Launch the Google chrome Browser.
Step 2. From the top right hand corner of the Chrome window click the wrench menu (the icon that looks like a wrench).
Step 3. From the dropdown menu that appears click Bookmark Manager.
Step 4. The Bookmark Manager window will appear. There you can see all your bookmarks and all the folders they are stored in. Select the bookmark you would like to edit.
Step 5. Now click Organize (top left hand corner) -> then select Edit.
Step 6. Make all the changes you want. When you’re done, click OK.

- You can also access the Bookmark Manager like this: right click the bookmarks bar -> select Bookmark Manager from the dropdown menu that appears.
- If you would much rather use the keyboard than the mouse, then you should know that Google Chrome comes with a long list of keyboard shortcuts for you to use (see here). There is a handy keyboard shortcut that you can sue to access the Bookmark Manager: Ctrl + shift + B.
