Disable Site Specific Zoom in Firefox
When you have a hard time reading or watching an item in Firefox you will want to get a closer look by zooming in on said item; alternatively when you want to distance yourself from an item you will want to zoom out. Both tasks can be achieved with ease: to zoom in you need only press Ctrl and + or hold down Ctrl and scroll up; to zoom out you need only press Ctrl and – or hold down Ctrl and scroll down. These options are far speedier and more convenient than clicking View -> Zoom -> Zoom in/Zoom out.
The thing is that Firefox features site specific zoom. Let’s look at an example in order to understand this better: you open a new tab, go to site X and zoom in. You then close the tab and go about your business, When you revisit site X, Firefox will remember the zoom level from your previous visit. If you want to disable this default behavior, just follow the steps presented below.
Step 1. Launch the Mozilla developed Firefox browser.
Step 2. The address bar is located at the top – it’s the place where you type in web addresses. This time y ou need to type in about:config
Step 3. Click I’ll be careful, I promise!
Step 4. Locate and double click browser.zoom.siteSpecific
Step 5. Change the setting from True to False. Restart the Firefox browser and you’re done.
Tips and warnings
To reset the zoom level you can simply press Ctrl and 0 (zero). If you want to use just the mouse you can click View -> Zoom -> Reset.

If you do not know how to use Private Browsing mode in Firefox 3.5, a detailed tutorial on the topic is available here.
