Delete Cookies in Internet Explorer 8
Cookies are small pieces of text that your web browser stores locally (that means they are stored on your hard drive) so that it can remember things like your browsing preferences, certain login data, shopping cart contents, the identifier for a server-based session, and other data. Cookies are not viruses, nor are they spyware, so from a security point of view you may not feel pressed to delete them (even though some antispyware security software applications detect cookies – this is because a users activities can be tracked when they visit certain sites, via a cookie). From a privacy point of view, deleting the cookies Internet Explorer stored on your computer may prove to be a good idea. It may also be good to clear up some space on your hard drive, space that is occupied by these cookies.
