In a previous article we’ve shown you how to create bookmarks in Google Chrome. This is something you will want to do when you want to be able to easily return to a webpage you find interesting or useful. When the novelty has worn off, you might want to remove that bookmark; so now we will show you how to delete bookmarks in Google Chrome.

There are several way to delete bookmarks in Google Chrome – just like there are several ways to create bookmarks in the Google developed web browser. Let’s see what they are, shall we?

Step 2. On that bookmarked page, just press Ctrl + D then click Remove from the Bookmark prompt that appears.
Alternatively you could use the mouse to perform the same task. Just click the star icon next to the webpage’s URL

You will agree that the method presented above is handy, but it’s not very useful when you have to delete several bookmarks. This is where the second way to delete bookmarks in Google Chrome comes in:

  • The Not So Simple But More Efficient Way to Delete Bookmarks in Google Chrome

Step 1. Launch the Google Chrome Browser.

Step 2. From the top right hand corner of the Chrome window click the wrench menu (the icon that looks like a wrench).

Step 3. From the dropdown menu that appears click Bookmark Manager.

Step 4. The Bookmark Manager window will appear. There you can see all your bookmarks and all the folders they are stored in. Simply select one or more bookmarks and press Delete.
Alternatively you can delete an entire folder. By deleting the folder you will also delete all the bookmarks inside it.

Step 5. Close the Bookmark Manager window and you’re done.
