Delete Archived Messages in Yahoo! Messenger
Yahoo! Messenger, the Yahoo! developed instant messaging application, offers three different archiving options:
Yes, save all of my messages – all of your messages will be saved.
Yes, save all of my messages, but clear them each time I sign out – the messages from your current session will be saved. When you end your session by signing out, they will be erased.
No, do not save any of my messages – none of your messages will be saved (great for the privacy concerned user out there).
You can learn how to activate one of the options presented above by checking out this tutorial. In this article we will focus on what to do if you want to delete these archived messages.
First of all, you need to know that if you select the No, do not save any of my messages option, then no message wll be archived. There is nothing for you to delete.

Or you could select a specific contact -> then select a specific date from he right hand side-> press Delete and all archived conversations between you and that contact, made on that specific date, will be removed.
