After you download and install the Mozilla developed web browser (see here for a detailed tutorial on how to install Firefox) you will notice that the browser’s default homepage is set to this. You might like to use that default setting, or you might want to change the browser’s home page to something else (even something like Kitten War). The process of changing the web browser’s home page is quite simple; more so, some web pages offer a handy Make SiteName your homepage link. Google for example offers just such a link.

But what if the web page you want to set as your homepage does not offer a make this site your homepage button? In this case you will have to set it as your default homepage with a few simple mouse clicks. Just follow the detailed step-by-step guide presented below.

Step 1. The first thing you need to do is launch the Firefox browser.

Step 2. Go to the webpage you want to set as your default web page. Type in the webpage’s URL in the address bar, search for it via a search engine, click the webpage’s bookmark, any method that gets you to that webpage.

Step 3. In the upper part of the Firefox window there’s a list of menus -> click Tools.

Step 4. In the dropdown menu that appears click Options (the last one at the bottom).

Step 5. The Options window should have popped up -> click the Main tab.

Step 6. In the Startup section click Use Current Page. The URL for Home Page will change to the web page you accessed in step 2.
Alternatively you could manually enter the URL for the site you want to use as your homepage.

Step 7. Click OK and you’re done. The next time you click the Home icon in Firefox you will be automatically taken to the web page from step 2.
