Media files are becoming more and more popular due to the continuous development of computer technology. Any user prefers to have his own MP3 music collection, instead of using those delicate CDs, that can get scratched easily. The same goes for video files and beyond. It's important to have a player that can handle them all and it's even more important to have them organized, especially if we are talking about large collections of media files. A software that has the best of both worlds is Juke. It's a simple media player that can handle an impressive number of media file formats.

Juke installs very fast and doesn't require much intervention from the user to complete the installation process. It can run on most versions of Microsoft Windows, ranging from XP to Windows 7. It takes up little hard disk space and requires less system resources than other similar programs.

The interface is no eye candy, it doesn't support skins and it's extremely easy to use. Emphasis is put on the functional part of the application, rather than on the graphical aspect. Any type of user, even beginners can get familiar with Juke in matter of minutes.

The program supports creating or adding playlist files. It has its own proprietary playlist format, but it also supports all known playlist formats. After creating a playlist, the user just needs to import his entire media collection into the program. It can even play audio CDs, displaying all the tracks in a list after the CD is inserted in the drive. The playlist can be sent directly by email using the program.

Juke allows adding some programs or applications to the Programs menu, making them easy to access at any time. For easy and quick access to the program's features, an icon is added in the taskbar, from where the user can add songs to the playlist, can play, pause or skip to the next track.

Pros

It has a very simple interface that can be used by anyone. Besides that, it supports a wide range of playlist formats and media file formats. It adds an icon in the system tray, making all the program's features easy to access.

Cons

The simple interface is a bit dull and doesn't support any skins. Furthermore, the program's features are limited and advanced users might not appreciate this. Juke is the only media player you'll ever need for handling all your media files collection.
